The Benefits Representative is responsible for the administration and coordination of various benefit programs for employees and ensures benefits are properly administered and delivered.
- Handles complex/escalated employee concerns, eligibility and transaction issues. Escalates issues to supervisors when appropriate.
- Aides in the coordination and monitoring of new hire processes, life event changes and benefit payments.
- Troubleshoots issues with data/eligibility files.
- Supports benefit team with processing status changes
- Assists in ensuring compliance with local, state and federal legislation related to benefits.
- Interfaces with internal contacts and external service providers to establish and maintain systems, services and administrative controls to support all benefit plans.
Educational Background:
- Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree
Professional Experience:
- 2 to 5 years related benefits experience in administering and coordinating company sponsored benefit plans.
Knowledge:
- Extensive knowledge of benefit program design and implementation methods
- Knowledge of federal, state and local laws relating to benefits
Skills:
- Demonstrates resourcefulness and good analytical skills
- Good interpersonal, communication and networking skills.
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize workload
- Computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
