BI (SQL Server) Data Warehouse (/ Datawarehouse / DW), Cognos, OLAP Cubes, MI / Management Information Developer / Business Intelligence Developer - London / Surrey. A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a BI MI (Management Information) Developer / Analyst to join a leading and Technology focused Financial Services organisation, who have got an exciting pipeline of work and projects in the offing. Business Intelligence is seen as key in the company, and with complex financial reporting requirements across the business, the team are seen as not just 'fact producers' but 'business changers.' Working closely with all aspects of the business up to and including board level, deriving and understanding business requirements and delivering accurate and sustainable solutions to meet the business need. Designing and developing new functionality within new and existing mission critical datawarehouses and developing MI reports using the reporting tool-set Cognos. Technology: SQL Server Datawarehouse (2005, 2008); Cognos (8.4) reporting toolset; Olap Cubes (Cognos Powerplay)
If you have most of: Experience in datawarehouse database design, development and implementation ideally in SQL Server 2005; Solid MIS Report writing skills with experience of the Cognos reporting toolset; Experience developing Olap Cubes (preferably Cognos Powerplay Cubes); Experience using Extract Transform Load (ETL) tools. (SSIS preferred); Experience in data mining and data analysis; Good team player with excellent communication skills; Able to grasp business concepts; then you may be suitable for the role and be able to benefit from the opportunity to work for a market leading and tech focused FS organisation on areas of their system which are undergoing massive transformational change, hence with loads of projects around scorecarding, securitisation, profitability, and new systems development.
