The International role will significantly increase our win rate in international product opportunities by applying commercial, product and propositions knowledge skills early and throughout the bid process. Working closely with the sales teams to drive up our product market share whilst ensuring that opportunities pursued remain within our international capabilities.
Roles Responsibilities
Sales Business Development (30%)
- Be responsible for the success of product bid opportunities
- Identify incremental product opportunities with the sales teams in both existing and new customer engagements
- Attend present at customer meetings as required
- Use Vendor relationships to identify growth opportunities
- Advise communicate on competitors product strategies; implement counter strategies
Bids ITTs (30%)
- Proactively qualify international opportunities to ensure they are within our capabilities
- Work with the sales, bid teams and International Business Support on all significant product opportunities, ensuring early consistent engagement
- Maintain a pipeline of forthcoming product bids and ITTs
- Produce commercial / service / product frameworks for each bid
Product Propositions (20%)
- Be fully conversant with product propositions and how these apply to our International customers and prospects
- Understand wider propositions of my client to identify cross sell/upsell opportunities
- Be a source of International product commercial expertise by keeping up to date on all Vendor, market customer need developments and our international in house and partner capabilities
Commercial (20%)
- Support profitable compelling commercial frameworks
- Use the appropriate combination of products, propositions and international capability to drive revenue growth profitability
- Work with the account teams customers to promote supply chain efficiencies and simplified procurement
- Interpret my client’s unique commercial differentials and communicate these effectively to internal / external customers
Key Requirements
- Demonstrable experience in a senior sales or commercial role
- Experience in international Product Supply sales
- Excellent commercial skills
- Excellent hardware product vendor knowledge, particularly within the workplace environment
- Ability to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the organisation, processes structures; ability to use that knowledge to drive profitability
- An enthusiastic, creative dynamic attitude reflected in a ‘make it happen’ approach
- An in-depth understanding of the Vendor IT market place
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate our propositions in a compelling way both orally written
- a proactive approach in cross and upselling
- Good presentation skills
- Excellent negotiator
- Very good team skills confident in influencing a diverse audience
- French or German language skills - Desirable
