Senior Technical Architect - BI/DWH
Responsibilities
• Act as leading Technical Architect within this huge Reporting Program and Project
• Establish a fitting BI Framework, choose the needed software and define architectural components for the company
• Work with business and application development teams in solution building for Data Warehouse projects
• Review take ownership of design deliverables for BI/reporting projects; review ETL strategy, report design documents and metadata strategy documents
• Establish ETL, data model and reporting standards
• Define high level solution and blueprint for projects on which technical specialists can work on; create data models for the projects keeping scalability and performance in mind
• Provide technical leadership to the multiple project teams and assure compliance to existing BI principles and guidelines throughout the full project lifecycle
Profile
• Minimum 5 years exposure/experience in data warehouse design and dimensional modelling; ability to implement and manage an Enterprise Data Warehouse
• Very strong knowledge about necessary components of a BI Framework and their impact on business and IT implementation (e.g. Data Quality Management, Data Layer Concepts, Master Data Management, …)
• Knowledge about various BI capabilities like different reporting analysis types, simulation, data-mining, planning, corporate performance management
• Proven Data Modelling and ETL knowledge
• Experience in performance tuning measures of DWHs and influence factors
• Explicit awareness of cost-driver in BI business
• Delivery or operational experience in fields such as investment banking, financial markets, commodities trading or energy trading are an advantage
• Knowledge about data models and transactions of trading systems like ENDUR would be great benefit
• Business fluent language skills in English
