Big 4 – Treasury Advisory

A Big 4 firm is looking for a Treasury Manager to join the Corporate Treasury team. They are looking for an individual to handle their ever-growing client base; this is a varied role, which will include projects such as due diligence, risk management reviews, advisory projects, benchmarking reviews and treasury organisational reviews. The role is two fold, taking in the treasury support function as well as managerial duties. The firm provide Assurance services to their audit clients as well as on other advisory projects. Responsibilities will include technical accounting advice on financial instruments, advice on risk management, hedging strategies and appropriate derivative instruments, treasury transformation projects, treasury controls reviews and advisory; and involvement in transaction-related and MA projects.

In regards to the managerial side, you will provide specialist support including the audit of Treasury Functions, accounting advice on financial instruments, supporting senior members of the team on ad-hoc projects listed above and building relationships both internally within the firms network and externally with clients.

The role requires you to have experience managing a team, within this role the average team size will be between 4 to 6 people. You will need to be a Chartered Accountant or have a similar accounting membership, be able to deal with complex issues, have strong communication skills, analytical skills and experience with project management. It would be advantageous if you had experience with external audit, knowledge of IAS 39/ IAS 32/IFRS 7 and ideally you will have experience of working within a banking institution or a corporate treasury function; experience of energy or commodity trading will also be considered. Working towards or being AMCT qualified is beneficial.
