Big 6 Firm seeks Energy Trading Middle Office / Risk Senior Consultant – London recruitment
Based out of their prestigious London City offices, you’ll join a World leading firm working with most of the largest and blue chip investment banks, energy majors and commodity trading houses in the UK and Northern Europe.
The role being recruited for is for a business analyst within the middle office/risk consulting team of the Energy division. After initially obtaining an appropriate general knowledge level across management consulting, and demonstrating this knowledge in a business analyst capacity within client projects, the successful candidate will be required to develop a deep level of subject matter expertise around the middle office and risk related areas of ETRM, which include: complex modelling of commodity forward curves; modelling of all types of physical commodity transactions and derivatives; calculation and reporting of risk measures.
SKILLS
The successful candidate should possess the following combination of background experience, technical and general skills.
Background and Experience
- Significant experience of working within commodity markets, in any role that has provided a sound understanding of forward curve modelling and risk calculations
- Strong appreciation for ETRM software, maybe coming from an ETRM / CTRM software vendor background and looking to move into more business consulting
- Highly numerate with a minimum degree level of 2.1 (or equivalent). Preferred candidates will be those who have studied statistics, calculus and matrix mathematics
