Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Newark, one of New Jersey's largest social service agencies, is the multi-service agency of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Newark serving the people of Bergen, Essex, Hudson, and Union Counties.

We are currently seeking a Caseworker to work in our Family Resource Center, located in Jersey City. The Family Resource Center's clinical team provides coordinated treatment and prevention services to families identified by DYFS as having abused or neglected children. In coordination with DYFS, the Center offers services that include after-school programs, socialization groups for children and teens, and referrals to community agencies, and provide parents with parenting training. Additionally, through a special Teen Enrichment pre-vocational training program, teenagers between the ages of 13 and 18 are prepared for the working world. They receive training that includes paid work experience and instruction in effective working habits and job search skills.
 
In this role, you will provide in home individual/family counseling and support services  to approximately 13 families including in home supportive counseling, case management; advocacy; transportation, parent education; Facilitate  After-school  program; complete all program documentation including progress notes, plans of care; statistical reports, court reports and any other required documentation for program and contract compliance.  

Requirements include:
• BA in related field
• 1 - 2 years experience working with children/ adolescents.
• Experience working with DYFS and local systems of case highly desirable.   
• Valid Drivers license
•Bilingual (Spanish/English) required.
