Bilingual Client Relationship Associate Job in Valley Forge 19481, Pennsylvania US
Vanguard, one of the world's largest investment management companies and a recognized employer of choice, seeks a client relationship associate to develop knowledge of Vanguard's Participant Relationship Group, retirement plan products and services, the overall financial markets, and the related legal, tax, and regulatory issues in order to respond accurately and thoroughly to participant inquiries.
Your primary duties and responsibilities will include:
- Developing knowledge and proficiency in all required areas through classroom training, on-the-job training, and self study.
- Responding to participant phone inquiries by providing account and plan information from various information systems.
- Providing fund and investment performance information to participants by phone.
- Responding to participant inquiries pertaining to certain legal, regulatory, and tax-related issues through verbal and written communication.
- Identifying routine participant needs/problems with urgency, professionalism, and efficiency; determining alternative solutions; resolving the problem using current workflow procedures.
- Initiating transactions for participants including loans, exchanges, allocations, and terminations.
- Working with the various areas of the Institutional Investor Group Division to enhance overall quality and workflow efficiencies.
- Providing industry knowledge to fund performance and retirement investing.
- Participating in special projects and performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess:
- An undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Customer service experience by phone preferred.
- Series 6 and 63 FINRA licenses (or ability to obtain them within departmental guidelines).
- Working knowledge of PCs and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of financial markets and retirement plans preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated sound judgment and analytical skills.
- Above-average listening and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work effectively with others as a member of a team.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills are highly desirable.
