Billing Analyst
The Billing Analyst performs a variety of tasks that includes accurate and timely reconciliation of AR accounts, cash applications and invoicing, as well as ultimate accrual and posting of data to the general ledger (Epicor). This position is responsible for AR system (Revenue Manager) testing, evaluation, and process improvements as well as ongoing maintenance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Functions include but are not limited to the following:
Billing:
- Prepare and Review monthly and quarterly invoices.
- Follow up with Clients on past due invoices.
- Verify daily cash receipts and confirm the set up of new client accounts.
- Interact with the Controllership group regarding cash receipts issues and discrepancies.
Accounting:
- Shared responsibility for the monthly AR close process including reconciliation of the AR sub-ledger to the General Ledger and booking of monthly accruals, invoices and payments.
- Prepare monthly GAAP schedules related to Aged Receivables, Accruals and Cash payments
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end and ad hoc deliverables to our parent company
Systems:
- Identify and resolve issues or inefficiencies within the revenue system.
- Evaluate accounts setups within billing system and recommend adjustments, training and process improvements as needed.
- Responsible for AR system testing and working with IT to evaluate changes.
Ad Hoc:
• Handle and complete special projects as they arise.
REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum of 3 years related experience in Billing, Accounting or Operations
• BA in Accounting, finance or related topic
• Asset Management experience required
• Ideal candidate will possess a strong accounting or mathematics background.
• A hands-on, skilled thinker, who will own the above functions and integrate well with the finance team.
• Knowledge of Revenue Manager v 7.1 billing system or Epicor a plus.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite; advanced excel skills required.
• Exceptional analytic, organization and problem solving skills. Must be detail oriented.
• Dedicated to follow through the resolution process to its closure.
• Numerical acumen and being detail oriented are imperative to this role’s success.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience in effectively communicating key data to Manager.
• Customer focus and high degree of responsiveness.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing situations.
