Bills checker (Perm Role) recruitment
Job Description
• Checking of documents drawn under Export Import L/C
• Liaise with Customers on rectification of discrepancies
• Ensuring documents presented by Customers are duly processed correctly dispatched to the respective issuing banks
• Necessary/relevant approvals duly obtained from the respective parties for each particular transaction
• Answering Customers’ queries on L/C terms assist them in their applications interpretation of UCP600/ISBP/URR/URC/ISP terminology
• Monitoring Export Import Bills to ensure no late payments / prompt acceptances
• Daily /Month end checking of reports
• Quoting of rates/obtaining approvals for bills discounted/purchased
• Liaise with customer, CCM and ACMA concerning disputes on trade related transactions, like late payment, discrepancies and adjustments.
• Ensure timely reimbursement of claims for export bills / send reminders of payment to issuing bank for accepted bills
• Checking approval of entries related to L/C Issuance, Export LC Advising, Export Bills discounted/purchased, All types of loans, Export Import Bills payments, Collection Bills, Shipping Guarantees, Remittances and deposits.
• Processing of Import LC Issuance, Export L/C advising, Import Export LC payment, Discounting, collection bills, all types of loans, remittances and deposits
• UAT, if required
• Filing / Warehousing
Requirements
• GCE ‘O’ level
• At least 5 years of trade related working experience
