Job Description Duties Work will include monitoring sensitive biological resources, inspecting work sites for compliance with permits, coordinating with project team and construction supervisors, providing environmental training to construction crews, and preparing field reports. Skill Requirements Candidate should have expertise and training in relevant biological disciplines (e.g., wildlife, botany, herpetology) and possess strong field skills. Candidate must be able to identify common California and Nevada plant and wildlife species. Experience in California and Nevada with special-status species preferred, as is familiarity with major environmental regulations. Excellent communication and writing skills are a must. Candidate should be detailed-oriented, self-motivated, and have a strong work ethic and must be fit to work in hot weather. Experience Requirements Prior biological construction monitoring experience is preferred, but candidates with relevant experience will be considered. The position requires approval by the Bureau of Land Management and all offers will be contingent on that approval.
