The GHTM is responsible for sales of Norditropin to practicing physicians, nurses, hospitals,
managed care and other health-related personnel within an assigned territory. Requires the development of
strategically targeted, account-specific business plans that reflect an in-depth understanding of local, regional
and national market forces that impact product sales. Within Novo Nordisk policy guidelines provides the most
current information relevant to Norditropin products and services and their approved indication(s) in a
manner which ensures their appropriate use in optimizing the business potential of the territory.
RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports to the BioPharmaceuticals Regional Director. External relationships include those with the following:
Pediatric Endocrinologists, Pediatric Endocrinology Nurses, Specialty Pharmacies, wholesalers/distributors
and Patient and Professional Associations. Internally, this position will collaborate with BioPharmaceuticals
Medical Liasons,and BioPharm Account Executives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
ADMINISTRATIVE: Attention to detail, thorough, timely and highly organized. Focused on the priorities.
ADMINISTRATIVE: Demonstrates prudent control of field expenses and Company property
ADMINISTRATIVE: Maintains records of samples in accordance with NNI policy .
ADMINISTRATIVE: Prepares and submits a monthly report detailing goals and accomplishments

DEVELOPMENT OF RELATIONSHIPS: Play a role with Marketing in identifying market needs (through internal and external customers) to support the development of a revised Formulary Kit, consistent with
AMCP guidelines and Novo Nordisk policies.
DEVELOPMENT OF RELATIONSHIPS: Supports the BRD in planning and implementing regional
functions/POA meetings which include: product information updates and sharing of field intelligence
information, actively leads/participates in open presentations and discussions regarding marketing and/or
sales plans.
STRATEGIES AND TACTICS: Acts as the regional champion for the introduction of marketing programs and
product launches.
STRATEGIES AND TACTICS: Anticipates potential trends and changes in market conditions in order to
identify broader areas of opportunity (e.g. new indications, support services) for the Company.
STRATEGIES AND TACTICS: Employs initiative and creativity to gain access and establish Norditropin as
a product of choice for accounts.
STRATEGIES AND TACTICS: Establishes and broadens Novo Nordisk awareness as a leader in Growth
Hormone.
STRATEGIES AND TACTICS: Organizes and participates in meetings, exhibits, conventions and advisory
groups to create sales/marketing opportunities and to establish sound business relationships with our customer base.
STRATEGIES AND TACTICS: Provides comprehensive market/competitive information
STRATEGIES AND TACTICS: Serves as a liaison to associations and other customer groups to identify, initiate and coordinate support programs and to enhance the professional ties between Novo Nordisk and these groups.
STRATEGIES AND TACTICS: Serves in an advisory capacity as it relates to marketing program/sales
collateral development.
TERRITORIAL SALES OBJECTIVES: Achieve or exceed assigned sales objectives through effective
utilization of all available resources, strategies and tactics.
TERRITORIAL SALES OBJECTIVES: Collaborates with BAE colleagues to plan, organize and deliver
effective and approved presentations to achieve product formulary consideration and acceptance
TERRITORIAL SALES OBJECTIVES: Develops and expands relationships with Key Opinion Leaders, Local
and national patient and professional associations, and Trade accounts
TERRITORIAL SALES OBJECTIVES: Develops and implements a business plan to create a pull-through of
Norditropin, consistent with regional sales and corporate marketing plans
TERRITORIAL SALES OBJECTIVES: Identifies key target accounts including leading academic institution
practices and private practices which treat growth hormone deficient patients.
TERRITORIAL SALES OBJECTIVES: Maintains a strong work ethic, working effectively both independently
and in a team/matrix organization
TERRITORIAL SALES OBJECTIVES: Maintains complete and accurate data with respect to physicians,
nurses, managed care and trade accounts through the use of a company provided computer and the One
Stop Shop software
TERRITORY MANAGEMENT, BEHAVIORS AND COMPANY POLICIES/PROCEDURES: Activities and
actions are consistent with company policies

planning along with specific, targeted, customer-focused call objectives. Prioritizes accounts to optimize ROI.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Approximately 50% overnight travel

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS: EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
A Bachelor Degree required.
A minimum of 2 to 4 years of growth hormone sales, Pharmaceutical sales or nursing experience required
Ability to facilitate trust and understanding
An aptitude for learning and communicating technical and scientific product and disease management information.
Decision-making ability and leadership skills are required.
Energetic, flexible, enthusiastic and highly motivated Intermediate computer skills required (Windows, Word, Excel).
Managed Care selling experience is highly desirable.
Must be a self-starter and be able to evaluate options, make decisions, and operate your business activities
with minimal supervision.
Prior computer experience using sales data/call reporting software preferred.
Prior sales experience preferred with a proven track record of results.
