Courtyard Marriott Pleasanton seeks a full-time AND part-time Bistro Server-Cook-Refreshing Bus PM to join their staff. 

 

 

The Bistro is a key component of the Courtyards’s new Refreshing Business lobby and provides a "fast casual" dining option with additional healthy choices for our guests. The concept is focused on providing fresh food and great taste with the choice to grab-and-go, grab-and-sit or order and be served. Breakfast includes a variety of great quality baked goods, yogurts, fruit, cereal along with hot breakfast platters and tasty breakfast sandwiches. The all-day menu offers light entrees including soups, sandwiches, salads, baked goods, bar food such as Thai and buffalo style wings, chips and salsa as well as "comfort food" entrees. In the evening, part of the counter converts to a welcoming bar that serves beer, wine, and a limited selection of cocktails.

 

Job Description:

 

Bistro Server - Cook PM (Refreshing Business)  

Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food. Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables. Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients. Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist. Prepare cold foods. Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers. Test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently. Monitor food quality while preparing food. Set-up and break down work station. Serve food in proper portions onto proper receptacles. Wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment. Check and ensure the correctness of the temperature of appliances and food. Take orders from customers, input orders into micros, and obtain payment and provide change. Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen. Prepare food, coffee and other beverages. Process all orders and collect payment from customers. Provide assistance in Food and Beverage areas including busing, cleaning and resetting tables, delivering food to guests, general cleaning of food and beverage prep areas and other areas within the lobby area. Count bank at end of shift, complete designated cashier reports, resolve any discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure bank Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.
