Black Belt (Lean / Transactional Concentration)

Tyco Fire Protection is a division of Tyco International, a worldwide leader in fire protection and electronic security solutions. Within Tyco Fire Protection, we design, manufacture, and distribute thousands of products ranging from fire detection and suppression systems, personal protective equipment and intrusion security to access control and video solutions, anti-theft and Electronic Article Surveillance / RFID Systems through our five strategic business units (SBUs): Fire Suppression Building Products, Fire Detection, Electronic Security Life Safety.
  
Responsible for the documentation, process mapping, and driving operational improvements in a functional business area (with the initial scope of customer service sales administration).  Facilitates lean processes, process capability, and organizational development within the function.  Implements business controls in support of new processes in conjunction with functional management.
 
Job Responsibilities:
 
10% Time - Develop Value Stream Maps within the functional area.
45% Time - Identify (project pipeline) and drive project manage improvement initiatives aimed at both improving the customer experience and lowering costs within the functional area.
15% Time - Facilitate, implement, and mentor associates on a "To Be" Functional Model.
15% Time - Drive, train, and facilitate a Lean operating environment (and mentality) within the functional area.
10% Time - Develop and ensure control plans are implemented within the functional area.
5% Time - Maintain project tracking tools and systems as required.
 

Proven use of Lean Concepts and techniques, including Kaizen, Kanban, Jidoka, and 5S.

Demonstrated success in implementing lean within a predominantly transactional environment.

Previous experience / familiarity with a Customer Service organization a plus.

Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.

Demonstrated success in organizational development and change management.
