Blood Donor Agency Assistant
Hays recruitment are actively recruiting for a Blood donor agency assistant within the NHS to work alongside the blood donor service in the Nottinghamshire area.
The main duties for the successful applicant will be to serve refreshments and converse with donors after giving their life saving blood donation in the centre or in a mobile area - the candidate must be flexible and not squeamish to the sight of blood.
The ideal candidate will have good interpersonal skills and be able to talk to a wide variety of people from the general public, be empathetic and vigilant to possible fainting donors - this role is supported and you will be expected to alert trained staff to the possibility of fainting.
The main purpose of this role is serve refreshments from the tea bar - converse with donors and re booking appointments for the donors (on mobile centres) - while remaining vigilant at all times.
Essential:
Must have basic computer skills
Must be able to converse confidently and put people at ease
Must be flexible to work across Nottinghamshire or in the Donor centre (transport provided for mobile centre)
Must have a great customer focus
Hours of work will vary - 2-3 days (part time)
