Board Test Development Engineer Job in Gloucestershire, South West Uk
Responsible for the preparation, delivery and in service support of PCB assembly test solutions. This will require close liaison with product design and manufacturing engineers to ensure optimal test solution selection and implementation. The successful candidate will complete Design For Test reviews, document issues and propose solutions. The role requires handling of multiple tasks and the ability to respond to changing priorities whilst still delivering against task completion commitments.
Responsibilities:
• PCB assembly Design For Test analysis
• In-Circuit Test implementation data pack preparation
• Planning/Monitoring Test Package Set delivery
• Test Package Set Repeatability Reliability improvements
• Optimization of In-Circuit Test process capability
• Test Equipment software and hardware design changes
• Drawings and documentation updates
• Scoping work for outsource suppliers
Key Requirements:
• Proficient In-Circuit Test development engineer
• Understanding of In-System / On-Board Programming process
• Detailed knowledge of PCB assembly design and verification tools
• Proactive self-starter
• Good problem solving skills
• Experience / knowledge of electrical and electronics hardware and software design activities
• Electrical/Electronic qualification (minimum HNC or equivalent)
• Planning and task management skills
• Good communication skills
Desired Characteristics:
• Specific experience of Teradyne/GenRad In-Circuit Test platforms
• Use of DFT analysis tools such as D2B and/or Test Expert
• High level software language development skills
• Experience of formal configuration control environments.
• Electronics Manufacturing support experience
• Technical knowledge of functional Test Systems hardware and software
