Board/Regulatory Reporting Project Manager recruitment

The Board/Regulatory Project Manager will lead and coordinate all Investment Division board related, and regulatory reporting requirements for funds globally. This position will work with asset class teams and others within Investment Division to create and review content for consistency and accuracy and ensure timely completion of reporting. This position will interface with legal, compliance, operations, and business unit representatives to understand and determine appropriate deliverables. This position will act in a project manager role to develop and manage project plans necessary to meet all Board and regulatory requirements, and will be required to proactively communicate to all parties involved in the process.
The responsibilities of the individual in this position include:
Board Reporting
- Manage the Board and subcommittee preparation process, and create and/or review all required materials across multiple impacted Investment Division and business units (Portfolio Management, Risk Management, Legal, Compliance, and Operations. Surface and resolve issues arising from timing requirements, and content (consistency, accuracy, and reasonableness). Create reports and documents as needed. Proactively manage and communicate status and changes with all parties involved in the process. Continually evolve, refine and streamline the processes within Investment Division and where Investment Division intersects with other business units. Act as an Investment Division knowledge expert and single point of contact to this end. Represent Investment Division to the Board or subcommittee, if necessary.
Regulatory Reporting
- Manage the development and/or review of all required regulatory documents across Investment Division and coordinate with other Russell business units (Legal, Compliance, Operations) to ensure timely and accurate completion. Surface and resolve issues arising from content (consistency, accuracy, and reasonableness) and manage delivery within required timeframes. Act as Investment Division knowledge expert and single point of contact to this end.
Quality Assurance
- Develop and execute quality assurance processes to ensure reporting information is consistent with other Investment Division information, auditable, and 100% accurate.
Liason with Investment Division and other Russell departments
- Serve as resource for Investment Division, Legal, Compliance, Operations, and other business units for any questions/issues that arise. Assist Asset Class CIO's, Risk Management, Compliance and Legal in communicating requirements and responsibilities to Portfolio Management.
The successful candidate will have extensive demonstrable skills and experiences including the following:
- Minimum 5-7 years of business experience with 2+ years of project management.
- 2+ years investment management or financial services experience required (mutual fund companies preferred).
- Investment management, financial services business knowledge and experience.
- Strategic planning and decision making skills.
- Management and leadership expertise (organizing, planning, implementing, team building, coaching, guiding).
- Expertise in development and implementation of plans at a strategic and tactical level.
- Demonstrated ability to work closely with many different internal clients to successfully manage objectives and results.
- Strong analytical and problem solving ability, ability to bring structure and organization to the consideration and solution of problems.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate with senior management, clients and associates at all levels.
- Flexible in methodology, reliable, self-starter, results oriented yet sensitive to people.
- Ability to advise, train, coach, mentor, and lead peers and other associates.
- Ability to prioritize assignments, based on a broad understanding of the business requirements, to meet project deliverables.
