GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Proficient in the operation and repair and maintenance of a high pressure wood fired boiler and related equipment.
Must have a strong commitment in safety.
Participate within a Continuous Improvement environment.
Ability to establish a respectful working relationship with maintenance, production, and management personnel to achieve the goals of the department and facility.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Proficient in the operation of high pressure boiler
- Instrumentation and controls (understanding and evaluating)
- Understanding of environmental compliance
- Operate rolling stock (certified)
- Repair and maintenance of boiler and related equipment
- Proficient in kiln operations
- Basic Understanding of Steam
- Basic computer skills
- Opacity reader (Preferred)
- Demonstrated thoroughness and attention to detail with a strong sense of urgency.
- Must possess good communication skills and work well in a team setting.
- Basic mechanical welding skills
WORK AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- High School diploma or GED
- Experience with preventive maintenance software preferred.
- One year experience operating a high pressure wood fired boiler
