About the Job
Full Charge Bookkeeper provides direct support in processing the day-to-day activities of our business including A/R, A/P, bank reconciliations, monthly closings, general ledger work, preparing sales tax returns, and administering payroll using ADP payroll service. Hours are 9:30am to 5:30pm. Located at 42nd Street and Madison Avenue.
AR responsibilities include:
· Data entry of invoices
· Posting daily cash receipts
· Closing of Accounts Receivable periods
· Making outgoing collection calls
· Handle customer and internal inquires
AP responsibilities include:
· Matching vendor invoices with POs
· Scanning vendor invoices and inputting into accounting software
· Maintaining accurate and timely payments of invoices
· Closing of Accounts Payable periods
· Scanning vendor invoices into archives
· Reconcile Vendor statements
Requirements:
1. Applicants MUST HAVE strong bookkeeping experience and understanding of all aspects of general accounting;
2. Must be able to be able to administer the payroll and be able to do so using ADP payroll service
3. Software experience: Prefer experience with QuickBooks; should have advanced knowledge of Excel
4. High level of energy. Willing to get in early and stay late as needed to get the job done;
5. Must be able to work independently and be detail oriented;
6. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required
7. Must be able to work in a fast paced medium size office environment providing administrative support as needed
