Bookkeeper/Senior Accounts Assistant

My client based in the Retail/Wholesale sector is seeking a motivated and driven bookkeeper on a permanent basis for rapidly growing and ambitious business. You will report directly into the Managing Director and assist in the day-to-day running of the office.

Your responsibilities will include:
- All accounts up to trail balance – will progression up to full production of management accounts as the company grows if wanted
- Bank reconciliations
- Purchase, Sales, Nominal ledger processing
- Payroll administration
- General administration processes including answering the telephones and logging stock when needed
- Dealing with supplier and stock lists
- Liaising with customers, suppliers and clients to resolve any queries that might occur
- Overseeing procurement and warehouse operatives

For this role you must have previous accounting knowledge up to trail balance, be commercially focussed and have strong organisational skills. Key communication skills are essential for this position. Experience in QuickBooks is advantageous along with having retail or wholesale experience.
