Cognizant's Business Process Services business unit conceives, builds, and delivers end-to-end business process solutions. The portfolio of solutions includes high-volume traditional Business Process Outsourcing services as well as next-generation solutions that leverage automated, cloud-enabled delivery and innovative commercial models to provide clients with significant levels of savings and business value. The role of consulting will be to help identify opportunities to deliver a full range of Cognizant services (including outsourcing), through well run, fact based projects which diagnose client operational issues and develop a future operating model.
 
The Consultant will be part of a BPS Consulting team focused on FA. Working with industry and technology specialists, he or she supports the creation of consulting offerings, take these to market (with colleagues in the verticals), and participate in projects with small teams (consulting "cells" typically of 5 people) which will aim to link business needs with technology and operational solutions in our target areas. The Consultant will need to possess strong analytical skills and some industry exposure. They will support the Consulting Director in creating 'thought leadership' and be able to support the definition of "what good looks like" in a given operational area, be able to translate "good" into metrics and practices, effectively run a diagnostic of client operations and create client buy in and actionable deliverables through a consulting project.
 
The Consultant should therefore:
•        Support the selling and shaping of consulting projects in the context of an account plan and BD team
•        Support the delivery of consulting projects and client satisfaction in terms of contractual deliverables, client buy-in, on time/ on budget, tangible next steps
•        Grow as a part of the consulting practice by learning from role models, mentoring juniors in pyramid, creating knowledge capital, managing to personal utilisation targets"
•        Support shaping and selling of BPS consulting FA projects. Work closely with Consulting Director to identify opportunities to sell billable consulting services in BPS focus areas, and then support the sales process by listening to client issues and framing a consulting project which will support their resolution.
•        Participate in and deliver successful BPS consulting projects. Hands on involvement in consulting projects, as part of multi-disciplinary team (including Industry and Technology skills) to successfully deliver the project scope. This will include performing objective, fact based analysis, and leading the creation of quality deliverables which will typically include Target Operating Model, Target Metrics and Practices, Diagnostic of Current Operations, Solution Overview, Business Case, Implementation Road Map. 
•        Link with BPaaS Platform Solution leads to identify future solution opportunities by conducting market research, industry analysis, and customer and prospect interaction.
 

Candidate Profile:
•        Experience of working for a blue chip consulting company is essential. Candidates will typically be manager or above in one of these organisations.
•        Demonstrated ability to understand FA process challenges in one or more of our key industries and how this impacts the business 
•        Proven ability to contribute as part of multiple or distributed teams to plan, develop, and take to market comprehensive business process consulting offerings.
•        Strong interpersonal, communication (verbal and written) and consulting skills and the ability to interact with peers, subordinates and clients at all levels
•        Practical exposure to the FA outsourcing field (sales, delivery, marketing, etc.). Additional background in technology outsourcing solutions is preferred.
•        Experience of designing and implementing leading practice processes such as procure to pay, order to cash, record to report and planning, budgeting and forecasting
•        Understanding of a global delivery system highly desirable.
•        Highly self-motivated, individually driven, self-discipline, organized, and focused.
•        Possess the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused, changing environment and work independently, and be self-directed
•        Experience working in a virtual home-office environment highly preferred."
•        Undergraduate degree required; MBA or Finance qualification preferred ACA, CIMA.
Travel will vary depending on customer and prospect requirements, but expect at least c.60%. Ability to travel to the client site as needed.
