Branch Banking System Specialist, Technology & Operations recruitment
The Technology and Operations team designs, develops and maintains computer application systems to support banking operations and provide innovative IT solutions, while harnessing new technologies to meet corporate objectives. In addition, we centralise, standardise and regionalise like-activities to achieve economies of scale and improve/re-engineer end-to-end processes to achieve world-class standards.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with various business groups such as Consumer Banking, Contact Centre, Enterprise Banking and various Operations Support groups to rationalize requirements across various business units.
- Translate complex business requirements into solid technical solutions and use best practice models.
- Manage delivery of outsourced partner supporting the branch teller systems and various branch related systems.
- Provide value to internal business partners by providing valuable technical and architectural insight and advise for Branch Banking System enhancements and projects and ensure that business objectives are met.
- Ensured that there is cost transparency on the vendor costs by questioning and examining the technical solutions and costing for the various enhancements to ensure maximum cost transparency.
- Act as an Subject Matter Expert for DBS Bank’s Branch Teller System (BBS) and review requirements as a technical solution architect.
- Identify, assess and manage the risks to the success of the branch automation project.
- Define documents and carry out small to large projects, actively participate in all phases and manage the end to end BBS enhancements/projects.
Requirements
- Strong technical skills in Visual Basics, C++ or any open system programming language
- Experience in designing user interfaces and good knowledge in workflow management
- Strong troubleshooting skills in various application core layers
- Minimum 7-10 years application software experience is preferred.
- Familiar with IBM MQ Series and SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) technologies.
- Good writing and communication skills, independent and able to lead a team.
