Branch Manager

Our client has been established for more than a quarter of a century and is renowned as a market leader in the provision of electro mechanical repair solutions and complete plant maintenance programmes to a range of industrial and engineering clients. As a result of continued success and a planned program of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit a dynamic, self motivated and highly capable and enthusiastic General Manager to take responsibility for the management of an established and successful branch and team and the associated profit performance of the operation.

** Please note - this role is NOT requiring a manufacturing management background - the focus of the role is CUSTOMER SERVICE through efficient service delivery **

Degree or experience qualified in an engineering discipline, you will demonstrate proven exceptional organisational and strong interpersonal skills at all levels, allowing you to manage the Sales, Production, Quality, HS, Administration and Technical teams effectively through a team of line managers, whilst reporting directly to the Managing Director, and will manage all areas of the business to ensure adherence to the group business plan and achievement of the desired Pre Tax Profit performance of the business.

Based in Manchester, the successful candidate will be a key member of the company management team and will be responsible for driving profitability through effective Key Account and Cost Management activities, managing the customer service teams to ensure satisfaction levels are attained and improved upon, and the sales teams to ensure new business levels are achieved and retention levels are maintained, and will be instrumental in the formulation of quotations to maximise profit margins. With the ability to understand Management Accounts as well as demonstrating effective negotiation, motivational and supervisory skills, you will ensure technical integrity to ensure reliability and efficiency of repairs is maintained, whilst being responsible for the development and maintenance of the company's Quality Assurance and Health and Safety Procedures and ensuring compliance with associated legislation.
