BRAND MANAGER
We are looking for an experienced Brand Manager to join our team. This position is responsible for ensuring comprehensive marketing strategy for the Sahale Snacks brand, leading cross collaboration and communication between all levels and departments at Sahale Snacks, helping the Team to build our brand, grow our distribution, and fulfill our mission, which is “To help people savor every moment in life with amazingly great tasting healthy snacks”, and provide outstanding service to Sahale Snacks and its customers, vendors, and employees.
Sahale Snacks is a growing company that produces and markets healthy natural snack foods. We want someone with a passion for our products, an entrepreneurial mindset and an interest in personally growing their skills and responsibilities as we continue to grow our business.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain a 3-year category strategy to support growth and profitability targets. Including, 1) marketing core products, 2) competitive strategy and tactics, 3) seasonal rotations, and 4) innovation
- Support the category growth strategy through consumer, market brand understanding.
- Define brand strategy including consumer communication and brand building.
- Drive the New Product Development process from project inception to launch.
- Manage product lifecycle including sku rationalization.
- Perform competitor analysis and develop defensive/offensive plans to account for learnings.
- Research and track market and competitive trends to remain abreast of category developments and drive breakthrough innovation.
- Set and manage PL targets for Brand by channel, including pricing and promotion.
- Determine what consumer research and data is needed for category channel – plan, execute, and analyze.
- Develop annual marketing budget (incl. trade and marketing expenses) and be held accountable for the results.
- Create Quarterly updates for management to understand the category past, present, future.
- Communicate product line direction and knowledge to internal and external partners.
- Manage Web site, bloggers and Social Media content, and direct external PR, advertising, and technical services.
- Ensure cross-collaboration in development projects to include all Departments.
- Participate in tier 1 key account meetings.
- Travel to key account trade meetings and key trade shows as required.
- Other key projects as assigned.
REQUIRMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree (MBA a plus).
- Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience (Food industry and CPG experience a plus).
- Understanding of PL statements.
- Demonstrated analytical skills and experience with both primary research and syndicated data analysis.
- Strong MS Office skills, with emphasis on Excel.
- Excellent oral/written communication skills, and proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Comfortable with multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
- Decisive and proactive in issue resolution.
- Analytical/Problem solver.
- Proven experience in product development process, including project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and to create teams across departments/functions
