Brand Marketing Public Relations Manager
Well established, rapidly expanding Gainesville-based national/international marketer of organic supplements is looking to hire an intelligent and capable person to its Marketing PR team. The ideal candidate will be expected to perform a key role in all phases of the brand marketing and public relations aspect of multi-product brands. An energetic, professional “Can Do” attitude is essential.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
Assume responsibility for all brand marketing and communication functions:
§ Assist in developing company marketing strategies and overall media plan
§ Manage and execute media plan including public relations, print advertising strategies, online advertising, social media, consumer promotions, and all other aspects of marketing
§ Develop and execute public relations plans and activities, identify media opportunities, manage press release, articles and company news distribution
§ Cultivate relationships with members of the media (print and online); develop and maintain targeted media contact list
§ Provide regular analysis and reports on public relations activities and coverage as well as sales and marketing reports
§ Increase brand awareness and equity by developing and executing targeted consumer marketing programs
§ Lead new product launches from inception to completion
§ Develop and track all marketing initiatives for existing and new product lines
§ Lead packaging design and creation for new products and evolution of existing products
§ Meeting all timelines on product launches and ongoing marketing initiatives
§ Responsible for development and copy of all sales, marketing and press kit materials
§ Manage vendors, including but not limited to design and public relations firms
§ Manage website, including design, content and ongoing updates for current and new products and initiatives
§ Conduct market research and analysis for trends and opportunities
§ Develop and manage specific expense budgets for each initiative and for overall marketing function
Education and Experience
§ 3+ years experience in nutritional, food supplement, pharmaceutical or related industry desirable
§ Solid consumer package goods experience and natural products industry a plus
§ Public relations, business or marketing-related degree, or equivalent professional qualification
§ Experience in all aspects of developing and maintaining communications strategies
§ Technical public relations and marketing skills
§ Experience with relevant software applications – Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook
