Bridge Structural Examiner Job in Inverness, Scotland UK
DURATION - 3 months initially, then ongoing
START DATE - March/April 2012
PROJECT INFORMATION
My leading UK rail contractor client is seeking a number or structural examiners in the Scottish Highlands (Nationwide opportunities also available) . You will be working on an ongoing framework agreement. You will be required to hold a valid PTS or undertake a medical and a 2 day PTS course prior to start. There are also opportunities on the same timescales for structures auditors and structures reviewers. This position is within commutable distance of the Scottish Highlands, Nairn, Carrbridge, Dufftown, Aviemore.
To be suitable for the position you must have;
- CG / NVQ Level 3 in any relevant building construction trade
- STE 4 - rail structures - you must have the full qualification
- Bridges/Masonry/Steel examinations experience
- SCMI competent IWA BSE IT Literate with minimum word processing and drawing application
- Previous experience in the rail industry and knowledge of railway practice
- COSS
Although not essential it would also be advantageous if you had;
- GCSE pass in English Language
- Full driving licence
- Must be able to demonstrate evidence of your structural examination work
ROLE INFORMATION
Depot based with travel to various sites in Scottish Highlands as required.
All successful candidates will undertake a medical and a 2 day PTS course prior to start.
All candidates should be available to start immediately.
