Build and develop good working relationships between Portfolio Operations and its internal/external clients and suppliers.

Responsibility

• Role provides administrative, counterparty service based support to others involved in the task of fund / portfolio management.

• Role will have a limited impact on external clients. Interactions with clients, whilst potentially frequent, will be of a routine, service related nature.

• The role holder’s actions impact most on their own work or that of their immediate colleagues within the organisation.

Knowledge

• Typical educational requirement : A levels or equivalent.

• Is fully conversant with all major aspects within a specific field of Financial Services Operations. Would be in a position to provide advice and guidance to more junior members of staff. 

Intellectual Demands

• Strong organisational skills, ability to multi task independently.

• Responsible for planning own workload typically against a backdrop of changing priorities and / or external events for a day ahead.

• The role is prescribed within a well-established framework. However, the role holder is expected to play an active part in improving day-to-day procedures and how the work is to be tackled.

• Is required to make routine judgments in situations which are well presented and un contentious. Would be expected to seek assistance for anything complex or out of the ordinary.

Communication

• Must possess good interpersonal skills and/or written skills. Ability to explain relatively involved concepts in a clear and concise manner to others within the organisation.

• The ability to promote a positive and professional image and being helpful and polite is essential.
