BUC Accountant recruitment

We have an exciting opportunity open for a Business Unit Control Accountant at our client; a premier financial services organisation, and one of the world's leading providers of futures and ETDs. The role is based in the London Docklands.

The successful BUC Accountant will have the following accountabilities:
-Provide business unit control and accounting support for the global markets business conducted in the London branch
-Key points of contact with futures business on finance matters
-Financial accounting of revenue and expenses
-Support for new projects and initiatives
-Daily PnL reporting, including PnL control and reconciliation
-Preparation of monthly management accounts, budgets and forecasts
-Balance sheet substantiation
-Month-end certifications and hierarchy maintenance

The successful BUC Accountant will possess:
-CIMA/ACA qualifications with substantial experience in finance, preferably in banking sector
-Understanding of financial services industry - including futures business
-Strong Microsoft Excel and Access skills and experience with Essbase and Sun GL (beneficial)
-Working knowledge of futures accounting

This BUC Accountant role will also give the successful candidate the opportunity to oversee the broker dealer (transition management and equities/fixed income sales trading) revenue reporting and controls.
