This position requires the ability to perform diversified and confidential tasks applying skills and knowledge of compensation to meet client demands and fulfill project objectives. The Associate to the Compensation Group will provide support around compensation-related assignments including but not limited to the following: Performs qualitative and quantitative analysis of data and develops exhibits that summarize findings Participates in the development of high quality client deliverables (e.g., charts, graphs and reports) Perform industry and financial research related to compensation strategy and design under direction of project manager Develop technical knowledge and skills in the area of Executive Compensation Works with other analysts under supervision of senior level consultants to meet deadlines and adhere to project scope Assist in special projects or assignments as instructed by your supervisor/manager Opportunities to interface with clients directly, as the candidate gains experience and sophistication in the core knowledge base Assist in the administration and support to other team members on compensation related activities and projects as needed Qualifications Bachelor s Degree in economics, finance, mathematics, statistics or any other major with significant quantitative course work, and a strong academic record, (or 1-2 years of relative experience),a genuine interest in this field Strong and detailed analytical skills capable of producing high quality output when under time constraints Excellent oral and written communication skills Organized, detail-oriented, competent follow through skills Possesses strong analytical and problem solving skills Ability to manage own workload efficiently to full fill commitments in a timely manner Possesses strong computer skills; working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook) Willingness to adapt to new responsibilities Develop the technical skills required to perform quality review of work product completed by other analysts in preparation for client delivery Ability to learn and apply compensation concepts quickly Improvement oriented consistently seeking means of greater efficiency Strong sense of professionalism and maturity Ability to work in a team environment as well as autonomously Buck Consultants is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not Discriminate against any applicant on the basis of race, color, religion/creed, national origin, gender, or sex, marital status, age, disability, use of a guide dog or service animal, sexual orientation, military/veteran status, or any other status protected by Federal or State law or local ordinance.
