RHF is a large not-for-profit organization with its national headquarters located in Long Beach, California. For nearly 50 years, RHF has developed, provided and managed housing and services for older adults, low-income families, and persons with disabilities throughout the United States, including Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U. S. Virgin Islands.
RHF seeks a BUDGET ANALYST for our Corporate Office in Long Beach, CA.
Scope of duties:
· Prepare the annual operating budget of the assigned facilities.
· Research HUD questions and prepare written response.
· Analyze and negotiate with HUD and Contract Administrators responses, decisions and appeals on the budgets.
· Interface with governmental agencies, project management, local Boards of Directors and RHF management for approval of the budget.
· Responsible for: preparation of internal reports and maintain documentation of the approved budgets, review and recommendation of appeals of the approved budget; preparation of special reports requested by RHF management;
· Keep abreast of HUD and all federal, state and local agencies new policies, procedures and regulations relating to rents and budgeting.
· Train facility mangers on budget procedures.
Necessary Qualifications:
· Four year degree in Business Administration / Accounting / Finance / Economics / Information Technology or equivalent experience.
· Budget preparation experience preferred.
· Accounting experience preferred.
· HUD or governmental agencies experience preferred
· Proficient in Excel, Word and Windows.
· Strong verbal and written communication and analytical skills.
