This position is also being announced under vacancy# 625287 MP The incumbent serves as Budget Analyst for Manhattan Sites Manhattan Sites is one of the sites within the National Parks of New York Harbor (NPNH), which includes 10 national park system sites with 22 unique destinations in and around four of the five boroughs of New York City and northern New Jersey. Responsible for the formulation, execution, monitoring, and reconciliation of the budget. Evaluates funding requests for an organization that supports units that are geographically dispersed and have varied purposes and needs in order to determine funds. Prepares analysis for management presentations using an automated system to monitor obligations by projects and programs and uses data mangement software programs to analyze and integrate financial data, repares reports in a variety of format and communicates to a diverse audience at all levels of the organization. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Back to top To qualify for this position you must meet the Specialized Experience requirements for a Budget Analyst, GS-0560-09 position. Specifically, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service OR Education: master's equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related. To qualify for the GS-0560-11 position you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service OR Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related. Examples of the specialized experience necessary to qualify for this position include (but are not limited to) Monitoring status of funds or financial transactions for an organization. Analyzing and reconciling budget and fiscal documents. Assisting with or developing budget submissions. Generating a variety of report, etc., to communicate detailed financial information. Providing guidance on financial/budget regulatory requirements, policies and procedures.
