Budget and Data Analyst Job in Middletown 06459, Connecticut US
Reporting to the Director of Financial Planning, the Budget and Data Analyst will support the development, implementation and management of the University's operating budget.
· Monitor budget performance. Analyze and report on variances. Analyze and project financial trends.
· Research, analyze and investigate complex budget problems; recommend and implement solutions.
· Identify, analyze and provide information for planning and decision-making. Synthesize financial data and present clear summary of findings to Director.
· Maintain position budget information in the position management system. Analyze audit reports, research discrepancies, and resolve issues.
· Develop and maintain financial models.
· Effectively communicate financial information to University faculty and staff at various levels. Provide training on financial systems and reporting tools.
· Analyze current procedures and recommend improvements to the process.
· Analyze financial systems and reporting tools. Recommend enhancements to existing tools or assist with the development of new tools to improve business processes and delivery of information.
· Collaborate with financial managers in various areas of the University on budget matters.
· Assist with month-end and year-end activity by processing journal and budget entries.
· Provide ad hoc financial analysis, special projects and provide general support as needed.
