Build and Release Engineer/Configuration Manager
Job Summary:
The Build and Release Engineer will be responsible for creating and maintaining WellMed's Software and Version Control systems and Build Management system. The Engineer is also responsible for maintaining the source control system and developing scripts that will improve the development of the build process. The position will also be responsible for overseeing the lifecycle of various software initiatives from development to deployment, while monitoring, recording, and controlling changes to maintain product integrity.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Supports the build and release process including management of environments (IIS 6/7, SQL Server 2008, and Team City 5.0) for development organization.
2. Maintains and improves the automated build system and coordinate releases with respective members of the information technology team.
3. Plans and manages the development of product builds and build releases into the existing infrastructure.
4. Designs and implements efficient procedures for the distribution and installation of new software to the technical infrastructure.
5. Ensures traceable, secure, authorized and tested versions of implementations are properly installed and meet the demands of defined business processes.
6. Manages the exact content and roll-out plans for release, through partnership with Change Management.
7. Manages comprehensive testing plans and collaborates with business users to perform user acceptance testing (UAT).
8. Completes hardware and software audits prior to implementation. Manages the release, distribution, and installation of software for the organization.
9. Manage release branches.
10. Builds and provides high level tests for release binaries.
11. Improves the efficiency and scalability of the build process and environments on a continuous basis.
12. Coordinates and collaborates with other departments to resolve Release and Build dependencies to ensure smooth and timely Release deployment.
13. Provides support for application and environment configuration issues.
14. Provides day to day Release Management support to the product with Primary area of responsibility.
15. Performs all other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:
- HS diploma/GED
- 3+ years experience building .Net/C# Application
- Experience deploying web applications to a production environment
- Experience with one or more scripting languages
- Experience automating build and release processes
- Familiarity with software configuration management systems and/or source code version systems. Subversion experience is required.
Assets:
- Experience using Team City on builds
- Experience with PowerShell
