Build & Deployment / Environment / Configuration Lead – Trading Applications – London recruitment

 The role-holder will:

-          Take on an influential technical role requiring a pro-active approach, and reporting to the Environment Services Build Deployment Lead.

-          Lead the technical delivery of the Deployment Automation Project, developing a platform and tools for structured release and deployment of code and data, and management of the ES processes included in the project scope. 

-          Be accountable for, and provide leadership in the design, implementation and running of Environment Build, Continuous Integration Packaging, Application Deployment and Configuration, and champions the use of Automation Tools to achieve this aim. 

-          Be a valued advisor to the ES Management Team on all environment technical matters, including all issues that have been escalated as a result of technical standards non-compliance.

Applicants must have:

-          Strong ‘hands-on’ experience of designing, deploying and managing complex technical environments, including technical standards creation and communication

-          Technical team management experience

-          Technical Project Management experience

-          Deep hands-on technical abilities:

o   Practical Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Automation Systems. 

o   UNIX and Windows Operating System (Solaris) standards, administration troubleshooting. 

o   Advanced Unix Scripting (Korn Shell). 

o   Advanced knowledge of using Source Code to manage complex Software Projects. 

o   Advanced use of ClearCase (Command Line). 

o   Database Fundamentals (SQL and Schemas). 

o   Networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DHCP, LAN, WAN, firewalls. 

o   Active Directory LDAP Fundamentals. 

o   Practical Knowledge of Perl, HTML, Clustering, Oracle, Sybase, hardware administration

-          Experience of liaising with and influencing senior business stakeholders within large trading environments

-          ITIL Certification
