Suitable candidates may have experience in construction, materials supply or contractor estimating, quantity surveying or cost planning. Alternatively, backgrounds in project management, building trades and engineering fabrication combined with the capability to visualise building design concepts, accurately measure and extract materials take offs would also be well regarded. Reporting to the Managing Director you will network with commercial builders, prepare budget estimates, undertake detailed measurement and materials take offs, plan project resources and submit tenders for significant construction projects. This will involve liaising directly with clients, architects and consultants to assess build-ability, propose alternative solutions, research new project opportunities, streamline estimating procedures and identify risk minimisation, cost reduction and value enhancement options.
