A local council that is committed to improving their Building Services to the local community requires a Limited Building Inspector to join their division, on a temporary basis.
As an Limited Building Inspector you will report directly to the Municipal Building Surveyor whilst working in conjunction with a small team of other Building Inspectors and Surveyors. You will be responsible for administering and enforcing the Building Act, Building Regulations and other relevant legislation on all relevant community and commercial buildings across the municipality. You will have the opportunity to operate in a dual role where you will be performing both inspections as well as enforcing necessary compliance regulations.
The successful applicant will be technically minded and will be a qualified Limited Building Inspector. Having experience working for a government organisation will be an advantage however it is not essential.
