Bulge Bracket Natural Resources Associate recruitment
A leading European Bulge Bracket Bank is looking to further strengthen its global capabilities with an associate one or two hire in their Metals and Mining team. This position will sit within their highly successful Natural Resources group and will be based in London.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual to work with a breadth of products within Metals and Mining including Advisory, Coverage and Project Finance. The lean structure of the team, combined with the ongoing volume of business, grants this hire a great deal of immediate responsibility and client exposure. This particular division also prefers to work in a self-sufficient capacity, only calling on execution and country teams where necessary.
Main Duties
- Generate unbiased, meaningful advice and dialogue with a cross section of companies within the Metals Mining industry
- Originate, execute and provide analysis for deals and cover all types of products (MA, Financing)
- Support senior bankers in client meetings, pitches and sector analysis
Person Requirements
- Strong academic record, with a demonstrably high degree of numerical, verbal and analytical competence (2:1 degree or above 340 UCAS points (AAB) at A level (or equivalent))
- Academic background inclusive of corporate finance, MA, economics and/or mathematics
- Demonstrable work experience from another leading investment bank with a strong set of modelling and valuation skills
- Previous sector experience (from either banking or client side) strongly preferred
- Personable team player, with the ability to gain the confidence and trust of both colleagues and clients with experience in coordinating large teams
