GENERAL JOB INTRODUCTION
Bunker Traders urgently needed to join a trading desk that focuses on Chinese speaking clients in Singapore based from the Singapore office. Due to a winning formula and rapid organic growth vacancies have been created for go-getting, results driven bunker trader’s to join our clients team. The position will involve building and managing supplier relationships as well as selling mainly to Chinese speaking clients as well as other markets based in Asia.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
Preferably you will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a bunker trader in Singapore and established relationships with Chinese ship owners based in Singapore or Taiwanese ship owners. Alternatively you will have had sales or trading experience in the shipping, marine industries or ship broking. Your sales skills and development of your sales pipeline will be focused on Chinese speaking clients hence total fluency in Mandarin is essential. You will need to have the EQ to be drive the sales effort as needed but also integrate into the team effortlessly. You will have a hunter profile and have the tenacity to build new accounts by cold calling.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Develop retain a sales pipeline and bunker profits by creating, selling and implementing contract solutions.
- Target the Chinese speaking ship owners to develop new clients.
- Network within the bunker industry to ensure optimization of profits increase margins by showing good business sense.
- Monitor and optimize credit utilization of credit lines and ensure optimization of cash flow on trading.
- Capitalize on the complex communication lines within the bunker industry to your advantage.
- Do activity planning, marketing, sales agendas, presentations and visit clients / prospects and conduct post sales activities.
- Pursue the best possible buying of bunkers to maximize profits.
- Introduction of risk management to clients in sales pipe line.
