Bursary Assistant

My client based in the education sector is seeking a Bursary/Accounts Assistant to provide administrative support to the Finance Function in the Gloucestershire area.

The role will be a diverse mixture of finance tasks; the appointed professional must be able to demonstrate their ability to be adaptable and flexible communicating with internal and external employees at different levels.

Your responsibilities will include:
· Purchase Ledger Processing
· Collating billing information and data
· Processing disbursements for billing
· Petty cash processing
· Preparing basic adjustments for monthly accounts
· Inputting data on the finance system in an timely and accurate manner
· Processing and dealing with external suppliers
· Providing an efficient service to all users in terms of dealing with finance queries
· Communicating with external suppliers to resolve invoice and payment queries
· Financial administration (Photocopying/scanning/preparation of paperwork/cover for reception during periods of absence)

For this Bursary assistant role you must have at least 2 years of experience within general administration ideally finance related. Exposure to Microsoft Excel, Work and Outlook email.

Along with this having a methodical approach, strong communication skills and the ability to work in a confidential environment is crucial. It would be desirable to have or be working towards a Finance qualification and have a familiarity with SIMS (School Information Management Systems).
