Business Account Executive 1, SMB Direct - Sacramento, CA


Business Services

Tasks:
- Assists with the creation and delivery of face-to-face sales
presentations that demonstrate knowledge of the latest Comcast products
and services. Promotes the sale of bundled products to ensure the
optimal solution for the customer. Sells with goals of exceeding
departmental, financial, and unit targets.
- Stays abreast of competitive landscape and emerging technologies to
best position Comcast Business Services in the marketplace.
- Generates new leads with targeted businesses through various
prospecting activities, including cold calling, canvassing, customer
referrals, and partner relationships. Focuses on goal achievement and is
results driven.
- Assists with developing sales territory, including cultivation of
local business partnerships and organizational affiliations.
- Retains customer base by delivering on the Comcast Credo. Ensures a
superior customer experience. Maintains and builds customer
relationships to drive customer retention; works with internal teams to
ensure operational efficiencies and service levels meet and exceed
customer expectations through strong customer service orientation and
excellent follow up skills.
- Prepares sales and activity reports as required.
- Participates in out-of-the-office meetings with customers on a regular
basis and demonstrates excellent verbal and written skills and skill in
presentating, persuading, and negotiating.
- Promotes the sale of bundled products to ensure the optimal solution
for the customer. Sells with goals of exceeding departmental, financial,
and unit targets.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters
of significance.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work
nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Sell and promote Comcast's video, high speed internet and phone services to small to medium sized businesses through door-to-door canvassing, appointment, and referral solicitation in an assigned territory.
- Systematically review and assess an assigned territory to insure that potential business customers are contacted on a prescribed basis.
- Prepare and execute subscriber sales applications.
- Maintain required record-keeping and reporting of all sales within an assigned territory.
- Demonstrate customer-driven attitude through excellent knowledge of products, services, and rates.
- Represent Comcast and our services in a professional manner.

Required Skills:
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree or Equivalent
- Business, Marketing

- Generally requires 0-2 years related experience
-College degree preferred. High School Diploma or GED required.
-2+ years of outside sales experience in a high transaction, short closing cycle model preferred.
-Business to business sales experience preferred.
-Proven sales history of meeting or exceeding targets preferred.
-A reliable form of personal transportation (Business mileage expenses are reimbursed at standard federal rate.)
-Valid CA drivers license, with a clean driving record in accordance with Comcast's policies.
-Auto insurance coverage that satisfies the minimum requirements per California state law.
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
-Basic computer knowledge.
-Flexibility to work within non-standard business hours to ensure that sales quota is met.

Physical Requirements:
-Frequent to continuous local travel.
-Frequent use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, etc.
-Frequent walking for 4 to 6 hours per day.
-Frequent exposure to outside environment, including inclement weather.
