Description

We are currently looking for an analyst to manage various storage cost improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:
- Analyze / reconcile storage utilization metrics to identify storage opportunities
- Participate in development of ROIs, and prioritize storage re-tiering, reclamation, over-allocation requests based on ROI.
- Produce quarterly storage capacity and run rate expense reports.
- Analyze existing storage provisioning and service request processes and provide input on potential future improvements to increase transparency of storage expenses
- Coordinate storage capacity reduction activities and report associated storage capacity reductions and cost benefits

DESIRED:

- Excellent knowledge of Ms Excel, Powerpoint,
- Understanding of IT Financial Management processes / practices
- Knowledge of Storage Engineering Technology a plus

Qualifications

The job holder will work closely with ILMG storage work stream lead, ESS storage team, Application Development and Finance teams to analyze and identify storage capacity reduction opportunities. S/He will be responsible for developing and reviewing storage ROI, and creating quarterly storage capacity expense reports. S/He will work with the ILMG storage project manager to coordinate capacity reduction activities and report associated cost benefits.

The preferred candidate must have very strong analytic skills, and must be proficient with Excel / PowerPoint. PMP certification and MS project experience a plus.

Minimum 6-10 years experience required. Must hold a BS degree in a business or technical-related field, and a Master s degree is preferred. Job holder must have experience with best-in-class methods, tools and techniques for elicitation and documentation of internal and external client needs and associated requirements. This includes use case modeling, business process modeling, and formal requirements traceability techniques using tools such as RequisitePro. S/He must be able to analyze client requirements, monitor project progress, manage issues and risks, identify potential roadblocks and keep projects on track. S/He must also have prior experience producing detail-level functional or operational requirement documentation and conducting inspections of required documents and quality reviews. S/He must have experience in formal requirements elicitation techniques, such as workshop facilitation with senior stakeholders. As well, the job holder must leverage his/her industry domain experience to assist in challenging and prioritizing the business and client requirements. In addition to the functions above, this individual is considered an expert in testing with formal experience in functional and UAT test planning, test case development and execution and provides oversight to the testing team and developers.
