Business Analyst – FSA Client Assets (CASS) x2 recruitment

The EMEA regional management team in London supports the Ops EMEA Head in delivering key services and strategic analysis for the region. As a Business Analyst within the team, the successful candidate will work with the regional EMEA management team to review adherence to CASS regulation in the region. Further to this, the candidate will be responsible for ensuring a robust and sustainable control process is implemented around any changes in the CASS regulation or legislation that governs Ops processes.
Designed to support the EMEA region and in particular London, the role will comprise of specific tasks relating to adherence to CASS regulation and legislation:
- Review the Ops processes around FSA Client Assets (CASS), including Client Money and Custody
- Complete an assessment of the potential control weaknesses around current processes
- Work with process owners to embed additional controls where appropriate
- Present findings and recommendations to a senior audience within Operations.
The role requires significant independent work; influencing to get information/ input from a wide base in London; and relationship building skills. The project will last approximately 3 months.
Requirements:
- Working knowledge from an Operations point of view of the FSA Client Assets Sourcebook (CASS).
- Experience within Investment Bank Operations, front to back processes. Must have exposure to ETD products, PB, Custody and/or collateral.
- Experience of the Client Money calculation and/or CMAR return.
- Ability to interface comfortably with clients and partners as required and develops effective working relationships, especially around key service providers.
- Delivery focus with a track record in relationship building and management
- Demonstrate influencing skills and the ability to work with senior stakeholders
- Key focus on integrity and discretion to help ensure sensitive information is handled with care
- Able to work collaboratively, regardless of team or functional boundaries to achieve shared goals.
