Business Analyst – Major Global Trading Company recruitment
My client is a major global trading company and they are looking for a talented Business Analyst to join their London operation. They have just hired a large number of Futures traders so therefore have a need to upgrade their systems to add extra functionality and additional exchange connectivity. This will be 50% of the role and other projects will cover areas such as Legal, Tax and Finance. The team covers Technology, Change and Operations projects.
Responsibilities
•Conduct Business Analysis within the IT Service Delivery team
•Produce clear documentation and communication of project analysis, requirements
•Agree and document user requirements with the business and IT
•Liaise with Project Managers, QA, Traders, Business Managers and other areas of the business
•Coordinate and hold requirements gathering and process definition workshops with the business
•Monitor and track issues, risks and dependencies on analysis and requirements work
•Ensure Project Manager is kept apprised of the status of the assigned projects and activities
•Manage project tasks and cross reporting to appropriate project team
Required:
• Educated to degree level (Business, IT or Mathematics), or equivalent experience
• Experience of working as a Business Analyst in a financial organisation on business lead IT/Technology projects
• Business knowledge of Futures (to the level of being able to advise on futures as a market and trading/exchange best practice rather than just futures as an asset)
• Strong communication skills – both verbal and written
