Business Analyst – Middle-Office Corporate Actions Project recruitment

Key Responsibilities:

To perform a BA/SME role as part of a team to implementation a Corporate Actions Software solutions in accordance with the Middle Office Business Requirements. 

You will be required to work with the project team to achieve the successful implementation of new solution(s) with adherence to quality, cost, resource and time-scale milestones. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the expected benefits, particularly business benefits, are achieved and that the supporting business operating model is successfully established. 

• Analysis of business requirements and relative priority for the creation of an effective, capable and suitable Global Corporate Actions processing platform.

• Liaising with product managers to define the future strategy of Middle Office services

• Agreeing and assisting with the creation of Business procedures

• Delivering training to business users

• Communicating and reporting effectively with all stakeholders, users and team members, providing regular reassurance regarding progress and taking control of potential conflicts of interest and priorities between business groups.

• Creating test and migration plans as well as orchestrating and executing these plans in conjunction with IT and users

• Constructively raising key issues and risks on projects particularly in regard to operational matters.

• Undertake business analyst tasks as part of the project lifecycle including the development of process maps, business requirement documents, functional specifications, test and business migration plans.

• Ownership for the creation and maintenance of overall current state and future state process flows and operating models.

• Undertake implementation forward planning in association with business users, project manager and IT.

• Proactive engagement in the development/execution of detailed delivery plans produced

• Deliver and agree with business stakeholders the design of new Corporate Actions processes/rules and make optimal use of the technology being used

• Develop a good working relationship with users, team members and IT resources

• Remain abreast of all relevant industry initiatives/developments in the area of Corporate Actions processing and to consider these initiatives as part of any change management programmes/projects

Person Requirements:

• CA experience at minimum Team-Leader/Supervisor level

• Experience of Corporate Actions processing

• Previous project experience and familiarity with associated “tools” e.g. process mapping and functional requirements documentation

• Experience in building and executing business-focused testing and migration strategies

• Previous experience with at least one major system implementation of a Corporate Actions solution

• Must have good, structured analytical skills

• Strategic mind-set, with strong conceptual, creative and analytical content

• Must be able to work effectively with senior business and IT stakeholders across business divisions

• Must be a very strong communicator – verbal and written

• Strong problem solving skills and able to perform under pressure

• Must be able to host and effectively run workshops and meetings, many via conference calls

• Must be able to multi-task and be able to prioritise effectively.

• Must have vision and foresight concerning the design and implementation of system solutions, particularly in relation to the impact and design of revised/new business operating models
