Business Analyst
About the role
We are currently looking to appoint a Business Analyst into our Markets BORM team. The Markets BORM Team supports the Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities (FICC) and Macquarie Securities Group businesses. FICC provides a variety of services across the globe with an underlying specialisation in interest rate, commodity or foreign exchange related institutional trading, marketing, lending, clearing or platform provision. MSG provides Full-service cash equities and is an institutional securities house covering sales, research, Equity Capital Markets (ECM), execution, and derivatives and DeltaOne activities.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on the SOD (Segregation of Duties) / Sailpoint project from a business perspective.
This is a Business Analyst role where you will utilise your business and technology skills. The role will require you to work closely with internal business stakeholders, IT teams and operational risk teams.
The successful applicant will be able to;
- Work on mapping user security profiles in each application to SOD pre-determined roles.
- Work with the project BA's to validate certifications and work on each UAT release reviewing the resulting violations,
- Documenting the rationale for acceptance, revoked access and any re-mapping requirements.
- The person will need to be able to liaise and work with other members of the BORM team reviewing and working through the SOD violations as well as Business and IT staff and other Project members across other divisions/groups.
About you
To qualify for this role, you must have the following experience;
- Previous experience as a Business Analyst working on business projects with a technology slant
- Experience within the financial services industry
- A rigorous background in the full lifecycle of business analysis activities including process mapping, scope definition, requirements elicitation and definition, data mapping, testing, implementation, and user training
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to establish effective working relationships with senior management and external parties
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and business analysis experience
