Business Analyst
You will join the current project team and provide additional assistance and expertise in advising the business on managing the legal, risk and regulatory impact of the FOFA reforms and provide ongoing advice and support to the business through the implementation process. You will liaise with the business to deliver and implement the strategies including embedding the change program into the compliance framework.
The ideal candidate will have been actively involved in implementing regulatory reforms recently and we would be keen to speak to people who have been working on current FOFA projects. A good grounding in wealth management legal, risk or compliance and a strong understanding of FOFA is necessary. Involvement in resolving requirements from recent enforceable undertakings will also be considered.
Partnership with the project teams from various areas of the business eg. Legal, Compliance, Markets, Finance, Operations, IT is required to ensure that all areas are adequately represented in each step and that the solution will work for all.
The role will involve:
- Providing input to the design of the new FOFA control framework with a view to ensuring sustainable and effective controls;
- Assisting with review of the existing compliance framework and roll out of necessary FOFA driven changes including amendment to monitoring procedures;
- Assisting with post implementation review and monitoring
Key Skills and Experience
- Successful candidates will ideally have at least 5 years risk and compliance experience with a wealth advisory or equivalent organization, including at least 3 years of project management, or business analyst experience in that space.
- A sound working knowledge of the Corporations Act requirements and FOFA changes.
- Relevant tertiary qualification highly regarded
- Experience in financial planning as an adviser, senior paraplanner, compliance officer or technical consultant
- Business process modelling skills, including proficient use of Visio, design of process maps, context diagrams, data flows etc.
- Ability to analyse data and provide effective summaries and reports on business requirements
- Ability to elicit requirements from a diverse audience, analyse and document said requirements
