Team Description
Performance Risk Analytics (PRA) provides innovative and integrated solutions and is a leading global provider of performance measurement, analytics and attribution services to pension funds, investment managers and consultants. The specialist Business Analyst team is dedicated to recommending, analysing and implementing efficient business processes to meet the changing demands of the unit and the industry and providing production and technical support to PRA EMEA Operations and other internal departments based around the world.
Job Purpose
The Business Analyst is required to liaise between all parties involved in on-boarding new services, efficiencies and enhancements. They will play a central role in the success of their projects by determining and writing the business requirements, managing associated deliverables and ensuring that all deadlines are met and any issues escalated appropriately. This role will also involve consultation as a business/product expert and will provide support to other team members and end users.
Responsibilities
- Liaison with business users and clients globally to understand requirements, issues and concerns and to identify system/business process inefficiencies.
- Analyse and document business processes including documenting data workflows and results of business analysis.
- Define requirements and gain approval for process and application improvements by gathering feedback, preparing business requirements documents, providing input to functional specifications and presenting specifications to stakeholders (Management, Operations, Product Development and Technology).
- Management of business change requests in relation to project plans to ensure agreed deadlines are met.
- Lead or assist application testing teams by providing written test plans, appropriate test data and product demonstrations including management and execution of User Acceptance Testing process.
- Provide technical and business support and advice particularly to Operations and the Technology function.
- Production support problem investigation and resolution of issues raised by Operations.
- Play an active role and provide support as part of the global PRA BA group.
- Training and education of staff and clients in the efficient use of systems and processes. This may include providing the lead (or assistance) in composing user manuals and/or training materials, or verbal presentation.
- Maintaining exceptional customer service levels.
- Adhering to appropriate policies, standards and best practice.
- Weekly reporting showing progress against outstanding milestones, status, resource requirements, issues, risks and dependencies.
- Understand how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully and, conversely, take input from colleagues and appropriately and accurately apply comments/feedback.

• An understanding of Investment Performance Measurement to include knowledge of Modified Dietz performance methodology and the principles of attribution advantageous.
• Experience in institutional accounting processes advantageous.
Academic/Professional Qualifications (or equivalent qualifiers)
Computer Science, Financial, Statistical or Mathematically related experience or degree is advantageous.
