Business Analyst responsible for the design, development, implementation, and support of the components in an enterprise Decision Support System.  Solution design, scope, and specification document creation, program development, QA, UAT, production, and on-going maintenance.  The Business Analyst will work collaboratively with the Priceline Business teams and the relevant technology team members to ensure accurate and timely delivery of total solutions with a focus on implementing and managing project deliverables.  Create functional requirements, use cases, coordinate requirements walk-through and sign-offs, verifying with user representatives/stakeholders that use cases and process models accurately portray specific business needs. Responsible for working with the business teams, project managers, and technical team members to ensure data integrity from operational systems through the Data Warehouse.    Will work to coordinate with other parts of IT and the business units to create detailed and thorough implementation plans, which will address the business needs and cause minimal interruption to daily business activities.  Prepare and implement data verification and testing methods for Staging, Data Warehouse and Data Marts.  Provide input and recommendations on system issues and review and participate in application, and tool designs, and hardware and software selections.

Required Skills:

Gathering requirements, analysis, ability to translate business requirements into functional/business specifications, creating test plans, and developing quality assurance plans/methodologies. 

Ability to analyze and document complex business processes.

Demonstrated SQL skills using SQL, PL/SQL, SQL* Plus, etc. in an Oracle DB environment.  Another RDBMS is acceptable, but Oracle and MySql are preferred. SQL skills will be crucial for data analysis, etc..

Should be proficient in Ms Word, Excel, Outlook and other office tools.

 Ability to make effective decisions under pressure.

 Ability to think analytically and should be a problem solver.

Required Experience:

Experience in Data Warehouse development lifecycles, especially tasks within the Requirements gathering and preliminary systems design phases.  Minimum of 2 years experience working with Oracle database technologies to implement data warehousing solutions preferred.  Demonstrated strong teamwork skills. Must have SQL experience. 

 Brio/Hyperion/Microstrategy, or other DSS tool development (Microstrategy, Business Objects, Essbase, etc..) is also a plus.

Candidate must be flexible and able to respond to constantly changing project priorities in addition to being able to multi-task well.  Good analytical and problem solving skills are essential.  This individual will be able to facilitate resolution of data/system issues and have the ability to act as a change agent to foster and promote innovative solutions, and to positively influence others with strong results orientation.

Strong Analytical skills coupled with business intelligence and a deep understanding of customer's needs so that they can be transformed into application and operational requirements.

Experience acting as an interface between business units, technology teams and support teams.

Proven problem solving skills, using them to resolve technical problems; possesses an understanding of business requirements and IT strategies.

 Nice to have: Previous experience as a Business Analyst on an OIC (Oracle Incentive Compensation) project or similar payment systems.
