Senior Business Analyst, HR
JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for working with Human Resource business clients to identify user interface and system requirements, develop the designs required to support business processes and to recommend technical solutions related to HR interface and system designs.
The Sr. Business Systems Analyst HR will write functional specifications, provide development estimates, develop appropriate test scenarios and scripts, analyze and approve test results, document processes and system issues and work with the technical team to implement a resolution. The position will ensure that a design being implemented supports operating objectives and business requirements and utilizes best practices.
Core Job Responsibilities:
Collaborates with customers, IT and other stakeholders to identify requirements, assess options and design solutions.
Coordinates the activities of the technical staff in resolution of gaps between business requirements and application software.
Responsible for the creation/maintenance of functional documentation.
Coordinates with developers the building, testing, and deployment of quality solutions based on documented requirements.
Responsible for reviewing the developer's technical design documents to ensure all requirements have been met.
Responsible for developing test scenarios/scripts and reviewing the unit test plans to ensure all requirements have been met.
Executes functional and integration testing and facilitates user acceptance testing.
Assists in developing project plans by providing estimates, dependencies and resource requirements.
Identifies project related risks and conducts impact analysis.
Skills/Experience Requirements:
4 6 years experience analyzing HR business requirements.
3 5 years experience with the design, testing, implementation and support of HR interfaces/systems.
Able to effectively use MS Office products (Visio, Word, PowerPoint) to develop and communicate business design requirements.
Strong technical skills using including building and maintaining of inbound and outbound interfaces to third party benefit providers.
Experience in adhering to change management processes.
Strong business and communication skills.
Proven experience in problem analysis and resolution.
Must have the ability to handle multiple assignments while meeting challenging commitments.
Must be able to work well within a team and with minimal supervision.
Must be able to lead a small team of developers.
Able to maintain confidentiality and discretion in business relationships and exercise sound business judgment.
Ability to deal with all employees and external business contacts while conveying a positive, service oriented attitude.
Education Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business, or related information technology field or equivalent.
