Business Analyst - Identity Access Management (IAM)

KP is seeking an exceptional business process professional who will develop relationships with, consult to, and work closely with internal business partners to improve processes related to Kaiser Permanente's Identity Access Management (IAM) area and domain. This high profile business consulting position will work with the IAM solution delivery team to deliver complete solutions to business access control and identity management needs and will take primary responsibility for understanding and documenting related business processes and translating these into requirements for IAM solutions. The person filling this position will ensure thorough understanding of the business requirements of our internal business partners and will work with and through our delivery processes and teams to ensure that maximum value is delivered to our business partners. While this is primarily a business engagement position, some technology awareness and background in Identity Access Management is preferred, though not required. You will be responsible for - Partnering with internal Kaiser Permanente business clients across the enterprise to increase their capabilities and process efficiency and to implement successful and sustainable initiatives related to IAM. - Understanding IAM business operations processes, the current systems that support them and their functional capabilities. - Leading IAM Process Improvement projects and initiatives including the process components of end to end IAM solutions delivered to our business partners - Working with our business clients to understand and document all related business requirements AND ensuring these are communicated to the solution delivery teams clearly and accounted for in solutions as delivered - Participating in and coordinating solution alternatives analyses including developing cost and level of effort estimates for proposed solutions - Managing overall business intake for one or more IAM capabilities including tracking all outstanding requests, negotiating delivery schedules, working with delivery team management to ensure adequate resourcing and, in some cases, taking on project management responsibility for delivering smaller enhancements and internal projects - Analysis of as-is and future state process gaps - Presentations, meeting facilitation and continuous education of clients on process improvement methods, skills and standards - Developing communications and training plans to support new IAM solutions and enhancements to existing solutions - Coordinating User Acceptance Testing and customer product demos to ensure solid business input to and buy off on IAM solutions during development Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in related field and/or 4 years of equivalent experience. - A minimum of 5 years of experience documenting functional requirements, analyzing business processes, and developing business cases to support IT solutions. - External or internal consulting experience in one or more of the following areas: BPM, Business Processes Improvement, Information Technology, IAM, Compliance (including most significantly HIPAA, SOX, PCI compliance), Communications or User Training. - The candidate must have successful experience working in a matrixed team environment to deliver solutions without directly owning all the staff or solution delivery functions - Good understanding of the business and technology requirements development and analysis and business process management. - Demonstrated leadership abilities with a business process analysis experience - Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills - Strong collaboration, documentation and presentation skills. - Excellent customer relationship management and customer service skills. - Demonstrated customer focus, integrity and relationship building skills, consensus building skills, success in influencing - Skill in Microsoft Suite of products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio) Preferred Qualifications: - Acquired and demonstrated knowledge of best practices and general solutions in Identity and Access Management including (not all required, just provided as examples) authentication, single sign on, strong authentication, authorization (including fine-grained authorization), RBAC/ABAC, federation, access governance/review, access provisioning and deprovisioning, identity data management, elevated privilege management, and OS and network access control solutions. - 2 years or more, Senior project management experience and skills; preferably in large, multi-streamed, complex geographically disparate projects - Demonstrated superior verbal, written, and presentation skills with all levels of staff and leadership - Experience developing and delivering user training for IT solutions - Experience with Microsoft SharePoint basic administration and use for communications and collaboration - Experience developing and executing communications plans - Knowledge of quality control/assurance and testing practices - Knowledge and experience in one or more of the following: ITIL, Six Sigma, CMMI, COBIT - Excellent Visio Skills; knowledge of business process mapping and modeling software such as Metastorm ProVision a plus.
